* John 10:10 → "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
* What Abundant life Entails
1. Salvation
→ A man cannot experience abundant life outside Jesus (until he/she is saved)
→ The condition of man was lost, therefore, the master came Himself to seek and to save man
* 1 Timothy 1:15 → "Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst."
* Acts 4:12 → "There is no salvation by anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved.”
* Jesus Came to Offer:
1. Salvation from sin:
→ Jesus changes our desires so that we do not yield to fleshly lusts
→ When a man is saved, his desires & choices are focused on how to give God praise and thanks
* Matthew 1:21 → "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
2. Salvation from Destruction:
→ Sin leads to destruction
* Romans 6:23 → "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
3. Salvation from guilt
→ A sinner runs when no one pursues him
→ Guilt erodes confidence
→ When Jesus saves you, he wipes off the guilt that is caused by sin in our hearts
→ when your guilt has been erased by Jesus, Satan cannot accuse you any longer
