Purity of Purpose (Bro. Alex Davou) 21-05-2001

* MY SERMON NOTES
@ Rescue Team,
Hwolshe – Gigiring, Jos
Plateau State, Nigeria
21st May, 2001

SERMON
* Speaker: Bro. Alex Davou
* Topic: Purity of Purpose

 * Purity means to be clean/holy

* Purpose is one’s intention (to achieve a particular goal)

* You’ll not be judged by your intention unless it is realized.

* Men have good purposes/intentions but they usually find it hard to achieve them

* There is no greater poverty than that of imagination

* If you believe a lie, you’ll always be controlled by that lie

* Unless you ‘drink’ that which is of the Holy Spirit, you will not know what is of the Holy Spirit

* Unless you fight, you cannot be counted as being part of those who are bold

* The wisdom of the world is limited

* Many acquired wealth out of impunity – it will all be taken away

* If you forfeit your crown, it will be given to another person

* As a Christian, your primary purpose is to please your master – Jesus

* Our beauty as Christians is not physical but that of the spirit

* Everything we do here on earth is for an eternal reward

* If you die today, what will you be remembered for?

The Spirit to Rescue (Bro. Joel Bibot) 07-10-1999

★ MY SERMON NOTES
@ RESCUE TEAM
Hwolshe, Gigiring - Jos
Plateau State, Nigeria
7th October, 1999

* Topic: The Spirit to Rescue
* Speaker: Bro. Joel Bibot

☆ Three (3) Types of Spirits:
1. The Spirit of God
→ This Spirit is Omnipresent, omnipotent, etc.

2. The Spirit Beings (angels and demons)
→ Each of them keeps to his domain and operates there

3. The human Spirit
→ The spirit of man cannot do anything unless he is under the control of the Spirit of God or the devil

* To 'rescue' is to deliver someone from a particular force that is above him

* For you to set someone free, you have to be above that particular force that is keeping that person in bondage

* The spirit to rescue is the motivator, the zeal, the power to move and set someone free

* Souls are being captured by the devil and they need to be set free

* Those who are free from the control of Satan have the mandate to set the captives free

* Most of the souls (in bondage) do not have any knowledge that they are in bondage

* As a leader, launch into what you are meant to do so as to avoid mistakes

* Be very careful before making any decision or a vow

* Allow the counsel and wisdom of God to guide you
→ Do not rely on your own understanding or human perception as you embark on evangelism, deliverance or prayer for those under the captivity of Satan

*NOTE: The act of rescuing is a spiritual (and sometimes physical) battle

* The act of rescuing is not a difficult task, but there are tactics and techniques that must be employed
→ You are not to be in a hurry to rescue.
→ You are not to delay unnecessarily, else the person dies
→ Decisions must be taken with prayers and strong conviction

☆ To Rescue:
1. You need to have Jesus

2. You need the Spirit of the Lord to guide you

3. Rescue the soul(s) at the right time at the right place

The Events of the End Times (Uncle Charles Egu) 25-02-1999

★ MY SERMON NOTES
@ Rescue Team
Gigiring, Hwolshe, Jos
25th February, 1999

SERMON
* Speaker: Uncle Charles Egu
* The Events of the End Times
* Text: 2 Timothy 3:1-9

* Now, The world wants to become one; to increase in knowledge (just like it happened in the days of building the Tower of Babel)

* The antichrist is already born but just waiting for manifestation into full government

* Where the Temple of Solomon was built, there is an erected Central Mosque - this is presently a bone of contention

* 'Men of God' have now become dupes (fraudulent)

* You should be careful about how you monitor yourself

* The world has gone computer literate

* We should pray that we would not be caught unawares

28th January, 1999
* Topic: Tears on Pay Day
* Speaker: Bro. Sunday Peters
* Text: Luke 19:11-26
* The third servant (in the passage above) allowed some foolish sentiments to prevent him from making profit for the master
* God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him;

* God rewards maximum profit made for Him
* Points Servants of God should Note:
(a) We serve the same God
(b) We all have the same connection
(c) God does not have grand sons/daughters, only sons and daughters
(d) We shall all stand before Him in judgement and give account of our stewardship
* Those who are not faithful (in His service) will surely be punished by God
